PGA Aroeira No.1 (Pines Classic Golf Course)
Aroeira Pines Classic Golf Course opened in 1973, this golf course has 18 holes of championship golf designed by architect Frank Pennink.Considered by experts as one of the best courses in Europe, the Aroeira I received the Open de Portugal in 1996 and 1997 and several Ladies Open. It starts with a nice par 5 surrounded by trees on the right and on the left, but with very generous fairways , that allow players to take advantage of their tee shots .

A very good course, par 3's in particular were good. Many of the par 4's seemed a bit samey but quite a number had OOB's making some tee shots a real challenge. Greens were good a pretty rapid.Some fairways a bit patchy. Disappointed we couldn't get buggies but we hadn't booked them and some large groups were playing.

Super course. Very playable from the fairways but not too penal if off it. Course was in great condition and the staff were universally friendly from the starter to the admin desk to the restaurant couple. Highly recommended & the Par 3 14th brings Augusta's famous 12th to mind.

Aroeira Pines Classik, früher Aroeira 1, spielen wir seid 2007. Dieser Platz war immer im gutem Zustand. Fairways ok und Grüns ebenfalls ok. Dieses Jahr ist uns aufgefallen das es extreme Pflegetätigkeiten auf dem Platz gibt. An den Pinien werden, in die Spielbahn ragenden Äste, entfernt!!! Mein Schicksalsast Ast ist weg. Danke.
2025 gerne wieder.

We have been playing Aroeira Pines Classik, formerly Aroeira 1, since 2007. This course has always been in good condition. Fairways ok and greens ok too. This year we noticed that there is extreme maintenance work on the course. Branches protruding into the fairway are being removed from the pine trees!!! My fatal branch is gone. Thank you.
Gladly again in 2025.

We have played here many times over the years. The course is now in the best condition I have seen. Fairways and greens excellent. Clubhouse facilities still a bit basic, but overall well worth a visit. Very good value for money and a good test of golf for all.
